Arsenal remain keen on signing Juventus star Kenan Yildiz
Arsenal reportedly remain keen on signing Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, as per TEAMtalk.
The 20-year-old showed glimpses of his qualities last term, making 15 goal contributions across all competitions. He even tallied four goals and assists in as many games during last summer’s Club World Cup.
The youngster has taken his game to another level this campaign and has already established himself as a talismanic figure for the Old Lady of Turin at this tender age.
In 26 appearances in all competitions, Yildiz has already matched last season’s numbers, guiding his side to mount a top-four charge in Serie A. They are currently fourth in the table with 39 points from 20 matches.
However, TEAMtalk report that speculation surrounding Yildiz’s future has been emerging as Juventus haven’t been able to agree on a fresh term with him yet.
It was thought that following the appointment of Marco Ottolini as new sporting director, things would accelerate and Juventus would be able to agree on a new deal with him before the end of 2025.
However, things haven’t panned out like that, and Juventus haven’t been able to find any breakthrough in negotiations. By taking advantage of this situation, Arsenal are planning to sign him.
Yildiz to Arsenal
Apart from the Gunners, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United are also keen on him. Moreover, Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in him as they are looking to inject excitement by sealing a statement acquisition.
However, Juventus have no intention of letting the forward, valued at around £87m, leave in January, even if they fail to agree on a fresh term over the coming weeks, with his existing deal set to run until 2029.
Yildiz is a left-winger by trait but is also comfortable in the creative midfield position. He has been showcasing his qualities in a left CAM role in Luciano Spalletti’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
After displaying eye-catching performances in club football, the Juventus star has secured his place in the Turkish national team’s starting line-up.
He is one of the best young players in the world and would be a great coup for Arsenal should they eventually manage to lure him to the Emirates Stadium in January or next summer.
