Arsenal are exploring move for Scott McTominay

Arsenal are looking into a possible move for Scott McTominay as they plan their next steps in midfield. Reports from CaughtOffside claim the Gunners have placed the Napoli player on their list of targets.

The North London side want more goals and creativity from the middle of the pitch, which has pushed them to scan the market.

The Scotland international joined Napoli in the summer of 2024. He made the switch from Manchester United in a deal worth around £26.5 million.

McTominay went on to play a major role in Napoli’s title win during his first campaign. He also claimed the league’s most valuable player award after a strong run of displays.

His goal return and link-up play made him one of the standout midfielders in the division having contributed 13 goals and 6 assists in 39 games last season.

Premier League sides monitor situation

Several Premier League clubs are said to be watching him as the January window draws closer. Arsenal are one of the teams that see him as a useful option who brings both power and direct play.

Reports also suggest McTominay may be open to a move back to England if the right offer arrives. He is believed to be interested in a fresh challenge after his time in Serie A.

Manchester United are also linked with a move for their former player. They may try to bring him back to Old Trafford if the chance presents itself.
