Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – Gabriel starts as Arteta makes two changes
Arsenal have the chance to cement their place at the top of the table with a win over Crystal Palace this afternoon.
We headed into the weekend action sitting four points clear of defending champions Liverpool and three ahead of Man City. With Arne Slot’s men suffering another defeat – this time away to Brentford last night – we can widen the gap to seven points by beating Palace at the Emirates Stadium today.
The boss has made two changes from the side that beat Atletico Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League last time out. Riccardo Calafiori is recalled to start at left-back with Myles Lewis-Skelly unfortunate to drop out after an impressive showing on Tuesday night.
David Raya keeps goal once again with Jurrien Timber and William Saliba keeping their places in the Arsenal defence. Gabriel Magalhaes was a doubt heading into the game after picking up a knock in midweek but the Brazilian has passed a late fitness test to start today.
Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice continue in midfield with Eberechi Eze starting in the attacking midfield role once again in the absence of Martin Odegaard.
Bukayo Saka is fit to start on the right wing amid rumours he missed training late last week. There is a change on the left side of attack with Leandro Trossard recalled in place of Gabriel Martinelli.
Viktor Gyokeres leads the line up front and he’ll be looking to build on his brace in midweek.
These are the teams for the game:
Arsenal
Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Rice, Eze, Saka, Trossard, Gyokeres.
Subs: Arrizabalaga, White, Lewis-Skelly, Mosquera, Hincapie, Norgaard, Merino, Nwaneri, Martinelli.
Crystal Palace

Subs: Benitez, Clyne, Canvot, Sosa, Lerma, Hughes, Uche, Nketiah, Devenny
