Arsenal have been tipped to make a move for Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye, following high praise from BBC Sport pundit Pat Nevin.
The Senegalese international has impressed this season under David Moyes, becoming one of Everton’s most creative and consistent performers.
His attacking contributions have played a crucial role in helping the Merseyside side maintain balance in the final third.
Ndiaye, 25, joined Everton in the summer of 2024 for a reported fee of £17 million.
Since arriving, he has quickly established himself as an essential player, earning admiration for his energy and technical quality.
Pat Nevin, speaking on BBC Sport, claimed that Ndiaye has the quality to play at the very highest level and could thrive in a side that enjoys more possession and attacking opportunities.
Nevin said, “I often think about players who would look even more impressive in bigger clubs. Watching Ndiaye this season, I believe he could excel at Arsenal, Manchester City or Chelsea. He has been outstanding for Everton.”
The Scottish pundit added that while Everton will hope to keep him, they might face challenges from top Premier League clubs if his form continues.
”I hope he stays at the Toffees but they might have to fight off bids from the bigger boys soon”
Ndiaye’s growing value and playing style
Ndiaye’s strong form has not gone unnoticed. This season, he has recorded three goals and one assist across all competitions, showing his growing influence in the final third.
His impressive run has also earned him a nomination for the 2025 CAF African Player of the Year award.
According to Transfermarkt, the forward is currently valued at around £30 million, although Everton are expected to demand a higher fee should any serious bids arrive.
Ndiaye’s game is defined by quick dribbling, close control, and versatility across attacking roles.
He can operate as a winger, attacking midfielder, or centre-forward, making him a useful option for any system.
He thrives in tight spaces, using his pace and balance to glide past defenders while also showing a strong work ethic off the ball.
His ability to link play, create chances, and score goals makes him one of the most complete attackers in Everton’s squad.
Arsenal, who have been assessing attacking options ahead of next season, may now be tempted to explore a move, especially if his current form continues.
With other top clubs monitoring his situation, Everton could face a battle to keep hold of one of their brightest stars.
