Arsenal get major boost in Antoine Semenyo pursuit

By on October 12, 2025

Arsenal have reportedly gained a bigger advantage over Tottenham Hotspur in their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, according to CaughtOffside.

The Ghanaian international has been in superb form this season and remains one of Andoni Iraola’s most consistent performers.

His displays have caught the attention of several top clubs, but Arsenal and Tottenham appear to be leading the race for his signature.

However, the Gunners now seem to have a stronger chance of securing his services after a key detail surfaced regarding the player’s admiration for the North London side.

The 25-year-old has long been linked with Arsenal, and his love for the club could play a decisive role if both clubs decide to make a move.

Semenyo’s admiration for Arsenal

Speaking to The Athletic, Semenyo admitted that he has supported Arsenal since his childhood and still holds the club close to his heart.

“I am an Arsenal fan,” he said. “I do not mix that with my job. It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life. I want to play for top clubs, and in order for that to happen, I need to keep proving myself.”

This revelation could help Arsenal convince him to join them ahead of their city rivals Tottenham.

The forward’s emotional connection with the club might be enough to sway his decision should a transfer opportunity arise.

Semenyo was strongly linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer before he signed a new deal with Bournemouth.

Despite that, speculation over his future continues to grow as his form improves week after week.

According to Transfermarkt, the Ghanaian attacker is currently valued at around £35 million.

However, Bournemouth are expected to demand a much higher fee if he leaves the Vitality Stadium, given his current importance to the team.

Semenyo has scored six goals and provided three assists in all competitions so far this season.

Arsenal’s growing interest, combined with his lifelong support for the club, could eventually see him make the move to the Emirates Stadium.
