Arsenal confirm signing of teenage forward Ozhianvuna

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

The talented youngster will officially join the North London club when he turns 18 in January 2027.

The 16-year-old forward is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Irish football.

He has already made a name for himself at senior level despite his age and will now continue his development under Arsenal’s watchful eye.

Ozhianvuna’s rise through Shamrock Rovers youth ranks

Ozhianvuna has enjoyed a rapid rise since breaking into Shamrock Rovers’ first team earlier this year.

He has already made 16 senior appearances across all competitions, showing maturity and confidence beyond his years.

In February, he made history by becoming the second-youngest player ever to feature in the UEFA Conference League.

He came on as a substitute during Shamrock Rovers’ second-leg clash against Molde FK, marking an early milestone in his career.

A few months later, he scored his first senior goal in an FAI Cup second-round victory over Wexford FC.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, and Arsenal’s scouts were reportedly impressed by his composure and attacking instinct.

Ozhianvuna is also a Republic of Ireland youth international, having represented his country across multiple age levels.

So far, he has made nine appearances between the under-15 and under-18 teams, further underlining his growing reputation.

Arsenal’s long-term plan is to integrate him gradually into their youth structure before assessing his readiness for higher-level football.
