Arsenal make move to sign Juventus star Kenan Yildiz

By on September 23, 2025

Arsenal have reportedly made a move to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, as per a recent Italian report.

Having finished second in the last three Premier League campaigns, the Gunners splashed big money to reinforce the squad this summer with the ambition of finally becoming the English champions this season.

However, they have had a topsy-turvy start to this season, accumulating 10 points from five games. They have already lost to title rival Liverpool and drew with Manchester City on Saturday. As a result, they have lost ground in the title race, sitting five points behind Liverpool, who are at the top of the league after winning all five fixtures.

Amid this situation, Arsenal have started exploring options in the market to reinforce the squad further, with purchasing a new forward on their agenda.

Arsenal decided to bolster the frontline by purchasing Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, and Eberechi Eze this summer. However, Madueke has now sustained a knee problem and is expected to remain sidelined over the coming weeks.

As per a recent Italian report (via GiveMeSport), Arsenal are interested in Yildiz, having been impressed by his recent eye-catching performance, and have ‘knocked on the door’ of the Turkish international to buy him.

Yildiz to Arsenal

The youngster is willing to stay at the Allianz Stadium, but Juventus are fearful that Yildiz might be tempted to move to the Premier League, as, other than Arsenal, several other English clubs are also on his trail.

Therefore, the record Italian champions are prepared to hand their star man a fresh term, even though his existing deal is set to run until 2029. They are preparing to extend his deal for one more year.

Yildiz has enjoyed a stellar start to this season and has established himself as the main man for Juventus at this tender age, scoring two goals and registering four assists in five appearances across all competitions. He scored two emphatic goals against Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund in back-to-back games.

Like Eze, Yildiz is comfortable playing on the left flank and in the CAM role. He is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become one of the best forwards in the world.

Therefore, the Juventus star, valued at around £43m by Transfermarkt, would be a great coup for the North London club should they eventually manage to lure him to the Emirates Stadium next year.
