Arsenal yet to make move for Madrid’s Rodrygo
Arsenal have yet to make an official approach for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, according to journalist Guillem Balague.
The North London club have been linked with the Brazilian in recent weeks as they aim to strengthen their attack.
Mikel Arteta’s team began their Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
Despite the win, Arsenal struggled to create clear chances, showing the need for reinforcements, particularly on the left wing.
Rodrygo has been one of the main players Arsenal are monitoring to improve their forward line.
However, Madrid have confirmed that they have not received any bid from the Gunners for the 24-year-old.
Premier League rivals Manchester City were also linked with Rodrygo earlier in the transfer window.
That interest is now said to have ended, as City plan to keep their young forward, Savinho, at the club.
Real Madrid could reduce their valuation
Real Madrid currently value Rodrygo at around £86million.
Reports suggest the fee could drop to between £50million and £60million, making him a more realistic option for Arsenal if they decide to pursue him.
The Brazilian winger has not indicated any desire to leave Madrid.
At present, there has been no offer from Arsenal or any other club, and he remains focused on his role with the Spanish side.
Adding Rodrygo would be a significant boost to Arsenal’s attack.
His pace, dribbling skills, and ability to create chances would strengthen the left wing, while offering Arteta more tactical options in attack.
Rodrygo’s experience in La Liga and European competitions would bring a new dimension to Arsenal’s forward play.
His presence could help the team break down tight defences and contribute with both goals and assists in crucial matches.
Despite the speculation, no negotiations have officially started.
Arsenal appear to be observing the situation quietly, weighing their options in the transfer market while keeping an eye on any opportunity to sign the winger.
Securing a player of Rodrygo’s quality would demonstrate Arsenal’s ambition to compete at the highest level and signal the club’s intent to strengthen the squad for the season ahead.
