Arsenal agree terms with Madueke ahead of opening bid

By on July 7, 2025

Arsenal have reached an agreement on personal terms with Noni Madueke as they aim to bring in a new forward this summer.

The Gunners have made attacking depth a key target in the transfer window, and Madueke has emerged as a serious option.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the North London club have agreed a five-year deal with the Chelsea player.

The proposed contract will run until the summer of 2030 if the transfer is completed.

Arsenal want to provide more cover for Bukayo Saka on the right side and add more quality on the left as well.

Madueke fits the profile of what Mikel Arteta wants in wide positions — direct, fast and dangerous in one-on-one situations.

Madueke agrees long-term deal with Arsenal

Madueke is currently with Chelsea at the FIFA Club World Cup, but Arsenal are pushing ahead with the move.

The 22-year-old scored 11 goals and provided five assists in all competitions for Chelsea last season.

He has become an important part of the squad since joining the Blues in January 2023 from PSV Eindhoven.

Reports claim Arsenal are now preparing to submit their opening offer to Chelsea after agreeing personal terms.

The Telegraph reports that Chelsea expect bids of over £50 million before they consider selling him.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal’s opening bid will meet that asking price or fall short.

Talks between the clubs are expected to progress once the bid is made.

Gunners preparing first offer for Chelsea winger

Madueke is a right-footed winger who prefers to play on the right side of attack.

He is known for his speed, ability to beat defenders, and powerful runs into the final third.

The England international often cuts inside onto his stronger foot to shoot or play a final ball.

Arsenal see him as someone who can provide a spark off the bench or start in wide roles when needed.

The club are eager to complete the deal as they continue to build a squad ready to compete on all fronts.
