Wenger’s Injury Update: Flamini Back, Wilshere A Doubt, Ozil Sick
We get back to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when we take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Arsene Wenger has been in front of the media this morning doing his pre-match press conference and gave a team news and injury update.
He confirmed that midfielder Mathieu Flamini will return after missing the Dortmund defeat due to concussion, but Jack Wilshere is a doubt and will be checked by the clubs medical staff ahead of the game.
Jack was forced off against the Germans after jarring his ankle and although he said after the game he was fine, Wenger it seems is being more cautious and will have him checked over before making a decision over his inclusion.
The boss also revealed that Mesut Ozil was feeling unwell on the eve of the Dortmund game, which he says explains why the playmaker was a little below par. However, he’s fully fit now and is in contention to face Palace.
The Evening Standards James Olly was at the press conference, here are his tweets:
Wenger: "Flamini is available because he had no basic injury – it was just a precaution. Wilshere will be checked by the medical people."
