Confirmed line-ups: PSG vs Arsenal – Merino and Timber start for Gunners
Arsenal are at the Parc des Prince to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of our Champions League semi-final clash tonight.
We need to put in a huge performance if we’re to book our place in the final after losing the first leg 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium last week. Ousmane Dembele’s early strike was enough to win the game for PSG as Arsenal squandered some excellent chances to level things up.
Mikel Arteta fielded virtually a full strength side against Bournemouth at the weekend but we let slip a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 thanks to a controversial Evanilson goal in the second half.
The boss has made just two changes for tonight’s game with Jurrien Timber coming back in at right-back after missing the game at the weekend with a knock. Mikel Merino is also passed fit to start up front after recovering from a knock that kept him out of the Bournemouth game.
David Raya keeps goal once again for Arsenal while Jakub Kiwior partners William Saliba in the continued absence of Gabriel. Myles Lewis-Skelly keeps his place at left-back despite the return of the fit-again Riccardo Calafiori.
Thomas Partey was a huge miss in the first leg but he’s back from suspension to start in midfield alongside Declan Rice. Arsenal need a massive performance from skipper Martin Odegaard if we’re to turn things around.
The onus will also be on Bukayo Saka to offer a threat in attack as he starts on the right-wing while Gabriel Martinelli will also be a dangerman on the left flank.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
