Myles Lewis-Skelly has enjoyed a fantastic season with Arsenal, catching the eye of fans and pundits alike.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who came through the club’s academy, has shown maturity beyond his years on the pitch.
He has been a shining light for Mikel Arteta’s side, proving himself as one of the most promising young football talents.
Lewis-Skelly has primarily played as a left-back this season, but is a midfielder by trade a testament of his immense versatility.
His composed style of play and ability to make an impact in crucial moments have made him a valuable asset to Arsenal.
He recently scored his first Premier League goal in style against Manchester City, showcasing his growing confidence and skill.
According to reports from TBR, Arsenal is eager to secure Lewis-Skelly’s long-term future at the club.
His contract runs until 2026, but talks are underway to extend it further.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed that the midfielder is close to finalising a new deal with the Gunners.
Dream England Debut for Lewis-Skelly
Lewis-Skelly’s rise has not gone unnoticed on the international stage.
England manager Thomas Tuchel called him up for the World Cup qualifier against Albania, handing him a spot in the starting lineup.
The young star repaid the manager’s faith by scoring the opening goal, latching onto a Jude Bellingham through-ball and calmly slotting it home. England went on to win the game 2-0.
The goal further stamped his name in history as the goal made him the youngest player in history to score on his senior England debut, surpassing Marcus Rashford’s record of 18 years and 209 days v Australia in May 2016.
It was a memorable debut for Lewis-Skelly, who marked Tuchel’s first game in charge with a goal.
His performance further underlined his potential to become a global star.
With England’s next fixture against Latvia approaching on March 24th, he will look to continue his impressive form.
As Arsenal looks to secure their emerging talent, Lewis-Skelly’s journey from academy prospect to first-team regular continues to inspire.
The Gunners are keen to ensure that one of their brightest young stars remains part of the club’s future.
