Arsenal are preparing to go head-to-head with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Feyenoord forward Igor Paixão, according to reports from CalcioMercato.

Both clubs are in need of attacking reinforcements, and the 24-year-old Brazilian has emerged as a key target to bolster their forward options.

Tottenham, in particular, are looking for an upgrade on Timo Werner and Richarlison, with Paixão seen as a quality alternative for Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
