Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Man Utd – Gunners dealt huge double blow as key men miss out
Arsenal desperately need a win to keep pace with leaders Liverpool when we take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
We’ve returned to form since the November international break and head into this game off the back of an impressive 5-2 win away to West Ham at the weekend so the boys should be full of confidence.
Mikel Arteta has been forced into some changes as Gabriel Magalhaes has been ruled out with a knock while Riccardo Calafiori will also miss the game – which is a huge blow for Arsenal.
Jacub Kiwior comes into the back-line along with Oleksandr Zinchenko. David Raya keeps goal for Arsenal once again while William Saliba and Jurrien Timber line-up in defence.
Declan Rice starts in midfield with Thomas Partey fit to return. Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal again tonight. The Norwegian international has been outstanding since returning from injury so hopefully he continues his excellent form against United.
Bukayo Saka will be the obvious danger-man in the Arsenal attack while Kai Havertz leads the line up front. Gabriel Martinelli is recalled to join the attack with Leandro Trossard making way.
For United, they’re without Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo due to suspension. Harry Maguire starts in defence with Tyrell Malacia coming in on the left flank. Mason Mount, Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund also get starts.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Raya, Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka, Havertz.
