Arsenal ready to spend £60m to sign Michael Olise
Arsenal are reportedly ready to spend a fee of around £60m to sign Crystal Palace star Michael Olise this summer, as per the Italian outlet Tutto Juve.
The Gunners have been linked with numerous forwards over the last few years as they reportedly want to sign a new right-winger to support Bukayo Saka.
Raphinha, Nico Williams and Pedro Neto have all been suggested as serious targets but they haven’t opted to make a concrete approach to sign any one of them yet with Olise now emerging as a new serious option.
However, it has been suggested that other Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United have also registered their interest in signing him having been impressed by his recent displays in the Premier League.
Now, according to the report by Tutto Juve, the North London club have already stepped up their efforts to sign the Crystal Palace star by beating their rivals in this race and are closing in on to seal the deal.
Olise to Arsenal
The report further claims that Arsenal are ready to spend a fee of around £60m to lure the winger to the Emirates Stadium ahead of next season. It has been suggested that the Frenchman has a release clause worth around that figure so it seems Arteta’s side are prepared to trigger his exit clause.
Olise is a creative winger – who is technically sound. He can play threading passes between the lines, has the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, has the efficiency of delivering excellent crosses from wide areas and can also finish off his chances. The Crystal Palace star is a top-class player and in order to get the best out of him, if they purchase him, the Gunners need to sign a prolific centre-forward.
However, although Olise is a top-class player, he has struggled with injury problems in recent times. So, Arsenal need to be very careful about that before spending a big fee to secure his signature.
Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club can eventually manage to purchase Olise in the upcoming transfer window to finally add a new right-winger to support Saka.
