Arsenal predicted line-up against Nottingham Forest

Arsenal are set to take on Nottingham Forest in the penultimate round of fixtures in this season’s Premier League campaign on Saturday evening.

Following last weekend’s 3-0 defeat versus Brighton and Hove Albion, the Gunners’ dream of winning the league title is all but over. So, despite enjoying a brilliant campaign for the majority of this term, Mikel Arteta’s side are set to end their season on a sour note.

But, the North London club will be hoping to earn all six points from their remaining two fixtures in order to accumulate as many points as possible.

On the other hand, this will be a crucial game for Nottingham Forest in their quest for survival. Steve Cooper’s side are currently only three points above the bottom three so they will be desperate to avoid defeat tomorrow. Therefore, Arsenal will have to be at their best to earn all three points from this encounter.

Expected Arsenal line-up

Aaron Ramsdale is guaranteed to keep hold of his place in Arsenal’s goal so Matt Turner will have to settle for a place on the bench once again this weekend.

William Saliba has been ruled out for the rest of the season along with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu, so they will remain sidelined tomorrow.

Meaning Jakub Kiwior will keep hold of his place in Arsenal’s backline alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, leaving Rob Holding among the substitutes. Ben White is likely to be in the right-back position and Kieran Tierney would be on the opposite side.

Jorginho should start in the deep-lying playmaker role, leaving Thomas Partey on the bench and in front of the Italian, Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard are set to start in the advanced midfield positions. So, Fabio Vieira and Emile Smith Rowe could start on the bench once again.

Gabriel Martinelli has been ruled out for the rest of this season after picking up an ankle issue last time out against Brighton. So, the Brazilian is not in contention to be involved in this encounter and Leandro Trossard is expected to replace him on the wing.

Bukayo Saka should remain in the right-wing position and Gabriel Jesus will start through the middle for Arsenal once again. Meaning Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah will be on the bench tomorrow.
