Arsenal can keep the pressure on Man City at the top of the table if we beat Brighton at the Emirates Stadium today.

Aaron Ramsdale continues in goal for Arsenal this afternoon while Ben White starts once again at right-back as Takehiro Tomiyasu won’t play again this season due to a serious knee injury.

Arsenal are short of numbers in defence as William Saliba is also out for the rest with a back injury while Oleksandr Zinchenko picked up a knock against Newcastle United last weekend. The Ukrainian international trained on Friday but isn’t fit to start today so Kieran Tierney comes in at left-back.

Jacub Kiwior keeps his place ahead of Rob Holding so he starts alongside Gabriel in the middle of defence today. Jorginho also retains his place in the holding role so Thomas Partey remains on the bench.

Granit Xhaka starts in midfield once again while Martin Odegaard skippers the team in the advanced midfield role. Bukayo Saka starts on the right flank with Gabriel Jesus leads the line up front.

Gabriel Martinelli keeps his place on the left side of Arsenal’s attack so Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah are among the substitutes with Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira.

These are the confirmed line-ups:

Arsenal

Ramsdale; White, Kiwior, Gabriel, Tierney; Jorginho, Odegaard, Xhaka; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli

Subs: Turner, Holding, Walters, Partey, Vieira, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Trossard, Nketiah.

Steele; Gross, Dunk, Colwill, Estupinan; Caicedo, Gilmour; Enciso, Mac Allister, Mitoma; Ferguson

Subs: McGil, Welbeck, Undav, Ayari, van Hecke, Bounanotte, Offiad, Moran, Peupion.
