Tierney starts, Lacazette out: Our Arsenal line-up vs Watford

Aaron Ramsdale produced an excellent performance during Arsenal’s win at Leicester City last weekend, which included a stunning save to deny James Maddision from a free-kick, so he undoubtedly deserves to keep his place in goal.

Arsenal will assess Kieran Tierney before making a final decision over his involvement. The Scottish international has been out recently with a bruised ankle but is back in training so Arteta is confident he’ll be available.

Nuno Tavares has filled-in well over the past few games but if Tierney is fit then I think he should be recalled to start at left-back as he’s a key player in Arteta’s system.

Takehiro Tomiyasu should start once again at right-back while Ben White will continue his impressive partnership with Gabriel at the heart of defence. Rob Holding, Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares will battle for places on the bench.

In midfield, Arsenal will still be without Granit Xhaka as he’s continuing his recovery from a knee ligament injury so Albert Sambi Lokonga should keep his place alongside Thomas Partey.

Odegaard in

Alexandre Lacazette has done well since returning to the starting eleven but I must admit I think we’ve also missed Martin Odegaard at times. This seems like a good opportunity to recall the Norwegian international.

Bukayo Saka should obviously keep his place on the right flank while Emile Smith Rowe continued his excellent form with another goal last weekend so he keeps his place on the left.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should lead the line up front once again for Arsenal so the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe will have to settle for places on the bench alongside Lacazette.
