Arsenal play our final away game of the season when we take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta has been speaking to the press ahead of the game and he’s provided a team news update including the latest on the fitness of David Luiz, Granit Xhaka and Hector Bellerin.

Let’s start with the bad news and Arteta has confirmed Luiz will once again miss out tomorrow night. The centre-back has been missing in recent games due to a hamstring injury and won’t recover in time to face Palace.

It’s a shame as the boss has also confirmed that Luiz will leave the club this summer so there’s now a real possibility the Brazilian has played his final game for Arsenal and won’t get a chance to say his goodbyes.

However, there’s a chance Xhaka could be back in contention on Wednesday night. The 28-year-old has also been forced to miss Arsenal’s last three matches due to a groin injury but he’s back in training and will be assessed before his availability against Palace will be decided.

Bellerin was forced off during the 1-0 win at Chelsea last week with a knock but thankfully it’s nothing serious and the Spaniard will be in contention for the trip to Selhurst Park.

Both Xhaka and Bellerin have been linked with moves away from the club in recent days so it will be interesting to see their reaction to the fans when Arsenal play Brighton on the final day of the season.

We head across London tomorrow sitting ninth in the table – four points behind eighth placed Everton – so Arsenal need a win to stand any chance of snatching a European qualification place.
