Confirmed line-ups: Aston Villa vs Arsenal: Ryan & Gabriel start
Arsenal are in desperate need of a win when we take on Aston Villa at Villa Park this lunchtime [12.30pm kick-off].
Mikel Arteta has to make-do without number one goalkeeper Bernd Leno due to suspension after he was sent off against Wolves in midweek. Thankfully, Mat Ryan returned to training on Friday and is fit to make his debut meaning Alex Runarsson is on the bench.
David Luiz is also suspended after our appeal was rejected by the FA so Gabriel is recalled to start alongside Rob Holding in defence. Kieran Tierney remains out with a calf problem so Cedric Soares and Hector Bellerin start in the full-back positions.
Nicolas Pepe keeps his place in the Arsenal attack after impressing lately so Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains on the bench as Alexandre Lacazette and Bukayo Saka start this afternoon.
Thomas Partey keeps his place alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield with Emile Smith Rowe in the attacking midfield position so Martin Odegaard, Dani Ceballos and Willian are among the subs.
These are the teams for the game:
Arsenal
Ryan, Bellerin, Gabriel, Holding, Cedric, Partey, Xhaka, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Saka, Lacazette
Subs: Runarsson, Chambers, Mari, Elneny, Ceballos, Odegaard, Willian, Martinelli, Aubameyang
Aston Villa
Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Nakamba, Barkley, McGinn, Traore, Watkins, Grealish
Subs: Heaton, Elmohamady, Engels, Luiz, Sanson, Ramsey, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Davis
