[Video] Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson scores stunning goal for England U21s v Scotland
Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson has scored a stunning free-kick for the England U21s against Scotland during their UEFA Euro U21 qualifier this evening.
The game was all square at 0-0 after 60 minutes at Tynecastle but Nelson stepped up and curled home a superb free-kick in to the top corner from over 25-yards to give England the lead.
The Three Lions have already qualified for Euro 2019 next summer as Group D winners having gone unbeaten in their nine qualification games so far with a record of W7 D2 L0.
However, Nelson’s strike has put them on course to another three points and further enhances his emerging reputation as one of the most exciting young attacking talents in British football.
The 18-year-old has been on Arsenal’s books since he was a kid and progressed through the youth ranks before breaking in to the first team under Arsene Wenger last season.
Nelson has been sent out on loan to Hoffenheim by Unai Emery in order to gain some much needed regular first team football this campaign but he’s expected to return to north London next summer and be a regular in the first team squad at Arsenal.
If he carries on scoring stunners like this, surely he’ll be knocking on Emery’s door for a first team spot next season:
