4 Arsenal players named in Europa League Team of the Week
Four Arsenal players have been named in the WhoScored? Europa League Team of the Week following our 2-2 draw with CSKA Moscow last night.
We certainly weren’t at our best in Moscow as we fell 2-0 behind inside the opening hour of the game which put the tie in the balance at 3-4 on aggregate.
However, Danny Welbeck popped up with a superb goal in the 75th minute to ease any nerves and the attacker has made it in to the TOTW with a score of 8.1.
Mohamed Elneny assisted Welbeck with a wonderful through-ball while he also grabbed his second assist of the game with another clever pass to release Aaron Ramsey to make it 2-2 in injury time.
It was one of the Egyptian international’s best performances of the season and it earned him a score of 8.5 which was enough to see him also named in the TOTW.
I didn’t think we were particularly strong defensively last night after conceding two poor goals but skipper Laurent Koscielny has still made the cut thanks to his score of 7.9.
Finally, our fourth representative in the WhoScored? Europa League Team of the Week is Nacho Monreal with the Spaniard sneaking in with a relatively low score of 6.7 following his average performance last night.
