[Photos] Arsenal handed double injury boost as key duo train ahead of Stoke clash
Arsenal have been handed a double injury boost as Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette have both been snapped in training today ahead of our clash with Stoke on Sunday.
Ramsey wasn’t called up to the Wales squad for their double-header during the international break as he was forced to undergo a minor groin operation last week to resolve a long-standing issue.
It was hoped the midfielder would make a swift recovery and be available for Arsenal’s clash with Stoke this weekend and it appears he’s on track to meet that target as Ramsey was able to train fully today.
Lacazette hasn’t featured since the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on February 10th after undergoing surgery on a knee injury but the striker returned to light training earlier this month.
The 26-year-old has now stepped-up up recovery as he was able to take part in full training at London Colney this afternoon so he should be back in contention for the visit of Stoke to the Emirates on Sunday.
Rambo and Laca took part in a session along with other players who aren’t on international duty such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi.
However, Laurent Koscielny is a doubt to face Stoke due to a back injury that he picked up before the break while Jack Wilshere has been sent back from England duty after picking up a knee injury.
