[Player Ratings] Burnley 0-1 Arsenal: Mustafi impresses as Sanchez saves Gunners
Alexis Sanchez scored an injury time penalty to secure Arsenal a 1-0 win over Burnley this afternoon and send us above Tottenham in to fourth.
Here are my ratings:
Cech 7/10 | Made a few solid saves to ensure a clean sheet including a fine stop to push an effort on to the post.
Koscielny 7/10 | Comfortable in defence but lacked a bit of quality in his passing when he ventured forward.
Mustafi 7.5/10 | Another top performance from Mustafi. Made a couple of important blocks and led from the back.
Monreal 7/10 | Almost scored with a long-range effort in the first half. Solid in defence too.
Bellerin 6/10 | Always an option down the right and put in a couple of dangerous balls but didn’t lead to anything.
Xhaka 6.5/10 | Kept the ball moving in midfield and did his best to break down Burnley with some probing passes.
Ramsey 6.5/10 | Missed a glorious chance to score midway through the first half as he blazed over but won the penalty late on.
Kolasinac 6.5/10 | Got in to some promising positions but final ball was lacking at times.
Iwobi 6/10 | Worked hard but had no real influence on the game. Subbed in the second half.
Sanchez 7.5/10 | Not at his best in the first half and looked a frustrated figure but improved after the break and scored the decisive penalty to collect all three points.
Lacazette 6/10 | Played a couple of nice interchanges and made some intellegent runs but wasn’t really given a sniff by the resolute Burnley defence.
Subs:
Wilshere 6/10 | Saw a deflected shot go just wide.
Welbeck 6/10 | Not much time to make a real impact.

We weren’t on top form today but it was an extremely difficult match against a well organised and determined Burnley side so we should be grateful to take away the three points. We’re up to fourth now and have Huddersfield at home up next…..
