Arsenal handed huge quadruple injury boost ahead of Everton trip
According to Football London, Arsenal have been handed a quadruple injury boost with Arsene Wenger set to welcome back four players for Sunday’s trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
Alexis Sanchez missed Saturday’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at Watford due to a minor thigh problem which he picked up while away with the Chile squad during the recent international break.
Aaron Ramsey was also forced to sit out the shock loss at Vicarage Road after complaining of a tight hamstring injury following his exploits for Wales last week.
Calum Chambers has been on the sidelines since aggravating a hip injury during our League Cup win over Doncaster last month – which was his first appearances of the season.
Laurent Koscielny gave us a huge injury scare after limping off during the closing stages against Watford but thankfully it turned out to only be cramp and the centre-back is set to make a swift recovery.
Football London claim that Sanchez, Ramsey, Koscielny and Chambers will all be back in contention when we head to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
The news will come as a welcome boost to Wenger as we desperately need to get back to winning ways following the defeat at Watford and the return of Sanchez, Koscielny and Rambo in particular will make a real difference.
Unfortunately it’s not all good news as Danny Welbeck has been ruled out until after the international break next month with a hamstring injury that he sustained at the weekend while Shkodran Mustafi is also still out with a thigh strain.
