Video: Arsenal 0-3 Chelsea: Gunners well beaten by Blues
Arsenal’s pre-season winning streak came to an abrupt end as Chelsea ran out comfortable 3-0 winner in our friendly in Beijing this afternoon.
The defending Premier League champions fielded their strongest available eleven and it showed against a mixed Arsenal side that included two youngsters and number two keeper David Ospina.
Chelsea opened the scoring in the 40th minute through a fine effort from Willian before Michy Batshuayi made it 2-0 just minutes later with another well-placed finish.
The game was over shortly after the break as Batshuayi gave Chelsea a 3-0 lead with a superb shot and while we did see plenty of the ball during the second half, we couldn’t find a way back in to the game.
The squad will now head back to London to prepare for next weekend’s Emirates Cup.
