Guardiola confirms key Man City trio are fit to face Arsenal
Manchester City have been handed a triple injury boost after Pep Guardiola confirmed that Raheem Sterling, Pablo Zabaleta and Kevin de Bruyne are fit to face Arsenal this weekend.
We welcome City to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon for what is going to be a key game not only for Arsenal’s hopes of finishing in the top four but also for third-placed City.
The trio were all initially doubtful for the game after suffering injuries while away on international duty but although Guardiola says they aren’t 100% yet, the three players are all considered available for selection this weekend.
Sterling picked up a back problem during England’s World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania while De Bruyne was forced to miss Belgium’s games against Greece and Russia because of a groin injury.
Zabaleta on the other hand sat out of Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Boliva after picking up a thigh injury during the international break but all three players could now start on Sunday.
