[Tweets] Wilshere ‘devastated’ following Welbeck injury news
Some of the Arsenal players have sent Danny Welbeck ‘get well soon’ messages on Twitter after the striker was ruled out for nine months with a knee injury.
Danny picked up another knee problem during the first half of our 2-2 draw at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon and Arsenal confirmed earlier today that scan results showed he’d suffered significant cartilage damage.
The 25-year-old has now undergone surgery and is expected to be on the sidelines for nine months meaning he’ll not only miss Euro 2016 this summer but he’ll also be out for the vast majority of next season.
Welbeck took to Twitter to say he’ll come back stronger from this latest setback having only recently returned from a 10-month absence with a similar knee problem.
Now, some of his Arsenal team-mates have taken to the social networking site to send their get well soon messages to Danny after this latest cruel injury blow.
Jack Wilshere says he’s devastated for his close friend while the Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny have also taken to Twitter to wish the striker a speedy recovery.
Check out their tweets below:
