Wenger reveals Ramsey’s comeback date + Oxlade-Chamberlain update

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey should make his comeback next weekend while he’s also given updates on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mathieu Flamini.

Ramsey has been on the sidelines since suffering a thigh injury during our FA Cup replay win at Hull City three weeks ago and there had been suggestions the midfielder may not return to action until the end of April.

However, the boss has now revealed that while the 25-year-old won’t be available to face Watford this Saturday, the Welshman should be back in contention for next weeks clash with West Ham.

Wenger has also confirmed that Flamini could be available for the trip to Upton Park after recovering from a hamstring injury that he sustained during our Champions League defeat at Barcelona earlier this month.

There was also a brief update on the fitness of Oxlade-Chamberlain with the manager saying that he’s ‘progressing well’ in his recovery from a knee injury which he picked up during the first leg of our last-16 tie with Barca last month.

Flamini is short for this weekend but could be available next weekend.

on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain…

Oxlade-Chamberlain is progressing well.

It will be a big boost to have Ramsey available again during the closing stages of the season, especially with Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla and The Ox still unavailable for selection.

However, the big question is where Rambo should fit in as Mohamed Elneny has performed extremely well alongside Francis Coquelin in his absence and we’ve certainly looked more solid in the middle of the park with the Egyptian international in the side.
