Video: Arsenal 2-1 Burnley: Sanchez sends Gunners in to 5th round
Arsenal booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Burnley at the Emirates this afternoon.
We opened the scoring in the 19th minute and it was a stunner from Calum Chambers as he curled home a superb effort into the far corner for 1-0.
In true Arsenal style, we made life difficult for ourselves with some dreadful defending allowing Sam Vokes to head home the equaliser for 1-1 in the 30th minute.
Our lead was restored shortly after half-time when Alexis Sanchez fired home from an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cross to make it 2-1 in the 53rd minute.
The visitors pushed for an equaliser but we held firm and should have wrapped it up in injury time but Theo Walcott wasted a one-on-one to seal the win. It didn’t matter in the end as we won 2-1 to progress to the fifth round of the cup.
