Photos: 8 youngsters to train with Arsenal ahead of Bayern Clash
Arsene Wenger invited eight of his brightest young players to train with the first team squad as we prepare to take on Bayern Munich tomorrow night.
With Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mikel Arteta, David Ospina, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky all sidelined, we need the youngsters to supplement training and the young-guns have been given the opportunity to impress.
Jeff Reine-Adelaide – who caught the eye at the Emirates Cup in pre-season – is back from the U17 World Cup and he joined the likes of Glen Kamara, Julio Pleguezuelo, Chris Willock and Kaylen Hinds in training today.
Alex Iwobi has been breaking into the first team of late and he was once again mixing it with the big-boys today while goalkeepers Matt Macey and Ryan Huddart were also being put through their paces.
I’d only expect Macey and Iwobi to make the bench tomorrow night but it would have been great experience for the rest of the youngsters to train with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil today.
