Ratings: Sanchez stars again as Arsenal beat Watford 3-0
Three quick-fire goals from Sanchez, Giroud and Ramsey in the second half secured Arsenal a 3-0 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road tonight.
Here are my ratings:
Cech 7/10 – Only forced to make one save but did everything that was asked of him.
Bellerín 8/10 – Superb display down the right wing as he was a constant threat. Got his rewards with a lovely assist for Ramsey’s goal.
Mertesacker 7/10 – Made some important clearances and did well against the tricky threat of Ighola.
Koscielny 7.5/10 – Made a goal-saving interception at 0-0 and stood-up to the physical threat of Deeney. Showed no signs of the hamstring problem which was a relief.
Monreal 7/10 – Got forward when he could and was solid at the back.
Coquelin 7/10 – Was everywhere in midfield putting out fires. Become a vital component of our team.
Cazorla 7.5/10 – His ball to Ozil in the build-up to the opener was sublime. Great all-round display.
Alexis 9/10 – Another MOTM performance from the Chilean. Opened the scoring with a clinical finish and was easily the best player on the pitch.
Özil 8/10 – Picked up two more assists as he closes in on the all-time assist record. Showed his class in the second half after a quiet opening 45 minutes.
Ramsey 7/10 – Finally got off the mark in the league with a late third goal. Missed another sitter in the first half though.
Walcott 5/10 – Struggled to get in to the game. Wasn’t helped by a lack of service.
Subs:
Giroud 7/10 – Lovely finish on his wrong foot to make it 2-0.
