Preview: Leicester vs Arsenal: Team News, Line-Up & Prediction
Arsenal need to get their Premier League campaign back to winning ways when we take on high-flying Leicester City at the King Power tomorrow afternoon.
We saw our solid start to the season brought to an abrupt end with a controversial loss at Chelsea last weekend but it’s time to put the defeat at Stamford Bridge behind us and move on – although Jose Mourinho doesn’t seen capable judging by his latest press conference.
We got a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Tottenham in the Capital Once Cup on Wednesday so no doubt the players will have an extra spring in their step going in to this match and that could be important.
Leicester are the only unbeaten side left in the division after an impressive start with Claudio Ranieri’s men currently sitting fourth in the table, but we can leapfrog them with a win tomorrow.
Team News
Gabriel will serve his one-match ban after pleading guilty to an improper conduct charge following his dismissal against Chelsea so Per Mertesacker should start alongside Laurent Koscielny.
Arsene Wenger is set to make a number of changes to his side with the likes of Petr Cech, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott all expected to start.
Francis Coquelin will miss the game with a knee injury so the boss has a hole to fill in midfield. Mathieu Flamini could have played his way into the starting eleven after his MOTM display against Tottenham, while Mikel Arteta is another option.
However, I’d prefer to see Aaron Ramsey start in the middle alongside Santi Cazorla – who is back from his one game suspension.
Preferred XI
Prediction
I don’t expect this to be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination but the good thing is Leicester are an attacking side and should give us plenty of opportunities at the back.
They are yet to keep a clean sheet this season so as long as we can blunt their attack, we have a great chance to take home the three points. I’m backing the boys to edge this one. Leicester 1-2 Arsenal
My predicted score of 1-2 is on offer at odds of 17/2 with Betfair, however I’m sure if you look around you’ll be able to find even better odds and don’t forget to use welcome bonuses.
