Photos: Cech Trains After Revealing His New Arsenal Squad Number
Petr Cech has been training in his new kit after revealing what squad number he’ll be wearing at Arsenal following his move from Chelsea.
Cech completed his move to North London earlier this month and we’ve been waiting for the club to confirm what number he’ll be taking on.
Many assumed he may take the No.1 shirt if Wojciech Szczesny was to leave the club either on loan or on a permanent basis but it’s been confirmed the keeper will actually be wearing the No.33 shirt this coming campaign.
Perhaps it’s a sign that Szczesny may be sticking around to fight for his place in Arsene Wenger’s team but Cech has revealed on Twitter that he chose 33 because he’s 33 years old and has played 333 Premier League games.
