Ramsey Out, Walcott Starts: The Arsenal XI That Should Face Man Utd

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from Monday’s disappointing defeat when we take on Man Utd at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. This is the team I’d like to see the boss select….
Goalkeeper: Ospina
The Colombian has firmly established himself as our No.1 as Szczesny hasn’t done enough to reclaim the gloves.
Defence: Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal
This has now become our settled back four. Debuchy is back in training but won’t be available this weekend so Bellerin will keep his place at right-back.
I personally think Gibbs has been harshly treated but there’s no denying Monreal has been a solid performer in recent weeks so deserves to keep his place at left-back.
Midfield: Coquelin, Cazorla
Santi has excelled in a deeper role during the second half of the season and we’ve found the perfect balance with him alongside Coquelin. Wilshere is pushing fro a recall but I think we should stick with these two on Sunday.
Attack: Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud
Welbeck has been ruled out after failing to recover from a knee injury while Ramsey is also a doubt. I’m not a fan of the Welshman playing on the right wing so this is an opportunity to get some balance back in our attack.
In my opinion, Walcott has been very harshly treated since returning to fitness and I think he deserves a start. He was one of our most important players before his injury last season and while he’s struggled to find that form again, the only way he’s going to get better is by playing.
The rest of the attack picks itself with Ozil and Sanchez supporting Giroud.
This would be my line-up:
This side is well balanced, full of pace and goals in attack while Giroud provides the physical presence and focal point up front.
Let’s hope we can get a positive result as we would be in great shape to secure third at least if we can avoid defeat this weekend.
