Arsenal Star Named In The 2014/15 PFA Team of the Year
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has been named in the 2014/15 Premier League PFA Team of the Year.
The Chilean international has been outstanding in his debut season here in England following his move from Barcelona last summer.
The 26-year-old has scored 14 league goals, 22 in all competitions, and has also provided 11 assists for his team mates in his 45 appearances so far, so it’s no surprise that he’s been named in the PFA Team of the Year.
Chelsea dominate the side with 6 representatives. Most are worthy but I personally don’t see what Gary Cahill’s done to deserve his place. Has he been that much better than Koscielny or Fonte? I don’t think so.
It’s also laughable that Coutinho has been named in the team. He’s had flashes of brilliance but should be nowhere near the team. Over the course of the season, Santi Cazorla, Cesc Fabregas and David Silva have all been much more influential. Even Mesut Ozil has a far better output despite missing over 3 months through injury!
