Arsenal Boost As Midfielder Given All-Clear Following Injury Hell
Arsenal have been handed a boost with Jack Wilshere assured he won’t suffer any lasting effects following another frustrating injury-plagued season.
Wilshere has been restricted to just 9 Premier League appearances this season after being ruled out for over four months with another ankle ligament injury.
It’s not the first time the 23-year-old has suffered problems with his ankles, so the club sent him to a specialist to see if there was any permanent issues that were affecting him.
However, the Mirror claim that Wilshere has been assured there is no weakness in either his bones or ligaments and will back stronger than ever over the coming weeks.
This is a big boost as Wilshere’s on-going ankle injuries were becoming a real concern so it’s good to know that he hasn’t suffered any lasting damage.
Jack has played twice for the Under-21’s in recent weeks and is now expected to be back in the squad for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Reading – although I highly doubt he’ll start so a place on the bench is more likely.
The Mirror also suggest that once Wilshere is back playing in the first team and proves his fitness, Arsene Wenger will begin talks over a new contract extension.
Let’s hope Jack can finally put his injury problems behind him, end the season on a positive note and head into next season full-fit and ready to push forward with his career.
