Arsenal plot ambitious swoop to sign Michael Olise
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise, as per TEAMtalk.
After being impressed by the 24-year-old’s performances for Crystal Palace, the Bavarian club decided to purchase him a couple of years ago.
He has showcased his productivity at the Allianz Arena in recent seasons, helping his side win two Bundesliga titles and a few domestic cup competitions.
This season, Olise has continued to display impressive performances, scoring eight goals and registering three assists in seven appearances across all competitions.
Having proven his worth in club football, the forward has established himself as an undisputed starter in the French national team’s starting line-up.
Now, TEAMtalk claim that Arsenal are interested in Olise and could make a move in the future. However, Mikel Arteta’s side will have to overcome several obstacles to finalise the operation as Liverpool, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also in this race.
Moreover, Olise doesn’t want to return to the Premier League and is considering moving to Spain if he leaves the German giants. Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in him. On the other hand, Bayern Munich are keen on keeping hold of him by tying him down to a fresh long-term contract.
Olise to Arsenal
They are even prepared to make him one of the highest-paid players at the club, alongside Harry Kane, as they believe Olise is one of the best forwards in the world.
Olise is a left-footed right-winger by trait and is also efficient in the creative midfield position if needed. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, and is efficient in finishing off his chances.
Moreover, he, standing at 6ft tall, can create opportunities for fellow attackers, is efficient at taking set-pieces, has an eye for scoring goals from distance, and works hard without possession.
He has proven his worth at the highest level for club and country in recent times and knows about the Premier League. So, Olise would be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him.
However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to lure him to the Emirates Stadium by defeating other clubs in this race.
