Arsenal ‘confident’ of signing Leicester’s Jeremy Monga

By on May 29, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly ‘confident’ of signing Leicester City forward Jeremy Monga, as per TEAMtalk.

The youngster started his youth career at Coventry City before joining the Foxes’ academy at the age of eight. After coming through their youth system, the 16-year-old made his first team debut last campaign.

This season, he featured as a rotational option in the Championship, making three goal contributions in 30 appearances across all competitions.

Now, TEAMtalk claim that Monga is considered one of the best young talents in England, and several big clubs across Europe have expressed their interest in him.

Following Leicester’s relegation to League One, Monga is likely to leave this summer, even though the Foxes are keen on keeping hold of him. Leicester can’t offer him a professional contract until he turns 17, which he will do in July.

Manchester United and Manchester City are keen on signing the youngster and have made a firm approach. Moreover, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United have launched formal proposals to seal the deal.

Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Real Madrid have also expressed their interest in him. But the player is likely to stay in England, and Arsenal are ‘confident’ of finalising the operation by defeating other clubs in this race.

Monga to Arsenal

The report state that Arsenal have shown their qualities of developing young talents in recent years, and Monga has been impressed by that. So, he is open to moving to the Emirates Stadium, and Arsenal have been ‘pushing aggressively behind the scenes’ to secure his services.

Monga is a left-winger by trait but is also comfortable on the opposite side. He is quick, technically sound, and can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas.

Monga possesses the potential to become a top-class winger in the future, so he would be a great coup for Arsenal if they manage to sign him. However, he is still very young and needs time to develop. Therefore, the North Londoners would need to be patient with him if he joins.

Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to secure his service by defeating other clubs in this race.
