Arsenal keen on signing Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi

By on April 1, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi, as per a recent German report.

Since joining the Belgian giants from German side Hannover 96 last summer, the 21-year-old has enjoyed a promising debut campaign, scoring 17 goals and registering four assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

Moreover, the German has been helping his side mount a title charge in the Pro League, sitting only three points behind league leader Union Saint-Gilloise.

Now, as per a recent German report (via Metro), Tresoldi’s recent eye-catching performances haven’t gone unnoticed, as several big clubs around Europe have registered a ‘great interest’ in signing him.

Arsenal have identified him as a serious option to strengthen the attacking department and could make a formal approach during the offseason.

Having recently joined Club Brugge, Tresoldi still has a contract until 2029. So, they aren’t in any rush to sell him this summer. However, the player is keen on taking the next step in his career, and if the Belgian side are forced to cash-in on him, they want around £26m.

Arsenal currently have Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Viktor Gyokeres as the centre-forward options. However, Jesus and Havertz have struggled with fitness problems in recent years. With the Brazilian’s existing deal set to expire at the end of next season, he has been linked with a move away.

On the other hand, Gyokeres has displayed a tepid display this season, scoring 16 goals and registering two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.

Still, Arsenal have been mounting a title charge in the Premier League and have reached the Champions League quarter-final. Furthermore, they have secured their place in the FA Cup quarter-final and have an opportunity to win the treble.

Signing a new striker to create competition for the Swedish international might be the right decision. Tresoldi is a talented player, but is still very young and is likely to take time to settle into the Premier League’s physicality should the Gunners purchase him.

Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services.
