Arsenal now ‘favourites’ to sign Nicolo Tresoldi from Club Brugge

Arsenal are the ‘favourites’ to sign Club Brugge centre-forward Nicolo Tresoldi, according to Christian Falk.

Tresoldi spent most of his formative years climbing the ranks at the Bundesliga second-division side Hannover. Having excelled in the youth sides, the youngster made his debut on July 5, 2022, in the 2-1 loss to FC Kaiserslautern, coming on in the 88th minute to replace current Borussia Dortmund forward Maximilian Beier.

He went on to feature in 79 more games for Die Roten, netting 14 goals and providing six assists before securing a move to Brugge last summer.

Tresoldi has taken no time to settle in Belgium, leading the Jupiler Pro League top scorers’ chat with 13 goals so far this campaign, with his overall goal contributions already at 22 across all competitions for Brugge, who will likely demand a fee well above his £11m Transfermarkt valuation.

At the international stage, the 21-year-old was awarded man of the match after netting a brace in Germany U21’s 3-0 win over Northern Ireland in the European Championship qualifiers on Friday evening.

Such a prolific run of form will inevitably draw keen interest from several clubs, but it appears Arsenal are already accelerating efforts to poach him early.

This is according to Christian Falk, who claims that the Premier League leaders are the ‘favourites’ to sign Tresoldi next summer.

Prolific forward

The German transfer expert adds that the North Londoners are ‘seriously interested’ in the 6ft 1in prolific forward, and talks are already underway for his potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
