Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Wigan – Lewis-Skelly starts in midfield for Gunners
Arsenal will be looking to book their place in the 5th round of the FA Cup with a win over Wigan at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
We head into the game off the back of a frustrating 1-1 draw away to Brentford which has left us just four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
Focus now turns to the FA Cup today and Mikel Arteta will be looking to get back to winning ways. The boss has rotated his squad with eight changes made from the team that started at the Gtech Stadium last time out.
Kepa Arrizabalaga replaces David Raya in goal while Ben White comes in at right-back to give Jurrien Timber a well-earned rest. William Saliba returns from illness to start in defence alongside Cristhian Mosquera so Gabriel Magalhaes drops to the bench.
Riccardo Calafiori replaces Piero Hincapie at left-back while Myles Lewis-Skelly is given a chance to impress in a midfield role. Christian Norgaard replaces Martin Zubimendi in the holding role in the middle of the park while Declan Rice is among the Arsenal subs.
Eberechi Eze was hauled off at half-time against Brentford but he keeps his place with Martin Odegaard ruled out with another knock. Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard are on the bench so Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli start on the wings.
Gabriel Jesus is recalled to start up front with Viktor Gyokeres dropping out. Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino remain on the treatment table for the Gunners while Max Dowman is also still on the sidelines.
