Arsenal can extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Leeds United at Elland Road this afternoon.
We head into the weekend action sitting four points clear of Manchester City and Aston Villa in the table after last weekend’s hugely disappointing defeat to Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta has made several changes from the side that responded with a 3-2 win over Kairat in the Champions League on Wednesday night. David Raya returns in goal while Jurrien Timber is recalled to start at right-back with Ben White making way.
William Saliba also returns to partner Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of Arsenal’s defence with Riccardo Calafiori and Cristhian Mosquera dropping out, while Piero Hincapie comes in for Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back.
Martin Zubimendi replaces Christian Norgaard in the holding role while Declan Rice replaces Eberechi Eze in midfield. Kai Havertz keeps his place after impressing on his return to the starting eleven in midweek. Martin Odegaard has to make do with a place on the bench.
Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard are recalled on the wings with Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli making way. Viktor Gyokeres leads the line up front with Gabriel Jesus named among the Arsenal substitutes.
