Norgaard stays patient amid limited Arsenal role
Christian Norgaard has opened up about his season at Arsenal and the challenge of playing limited minutes since his summer switch.
Since his arrival, opportunities in the Premier League have been hard to come by for the experienced Danish international.
Norgaard has made just three league appearances so far, with competition in midfield remaining strong throughout the campaign.
Despite the lack of regular match action, the former Brentford man has remained positive about his time at the club.
Speaking about his situation, Norgaard admitted that the adjustment period has not been straightforward for him.
At the same time, he stressed that working with top-level players every day has been a rewarding experience.
Daily work and belief at Arsenal
Norgaard believes he has shown that he can compete at this level, even with limited chances on the pitch.
The midfielder understands that patience is now key as the season continues to move forward.
“It’s not easy, it’s fantastic players and it’s honestly a joy coming in every day, you train with these players of this quality.”
“But it’s also a good feeling to see and feel like you’re a part of it, you can actually play on this level and I’ve been confirming that this season.”
“Now it’s just about being patient, being hard-working and hopefully more chances will come.”
Trust in Arteta and season goals
Even without regular starts, Norgaard feels clear about where he stands with the Arsenal manager. He revealed that conversations with Mikel Arteta have been open and direct since his arrival.
Norgaard also feels confident that his chance to contribute will arrive as the season reaches its final stages.
“I had really good communication with the manager and he’s been really honest with me.”
“I feel that he’s happy with my role here.”
“I think coming towards the end of the season, hopefully we will also need the whole squad and I’m sure I can play a role as well in the last part of the Premier League.”
The midfielder remains determined to support the team whenever he is needed.
Norgaard will be hoping his patience and effort can help Arsenal push over the line and secure major honours this season.
