Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Kairat – Havertz starts as Arteta makes 11 changes
Arsenal are looking to wrap-up top spot in the Champions League table with a win over Kairat at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
We head into the final match sitting three points clear of Bayern Munich with a +5 goal difference so it would take a monumental surprise set of results to prevent us finishing top of the group phase.
Mikel Arteta has made 11 changes from the side that started during the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday. Kepa comes in between the sticks with David Raya rested while Ben White starts at right-back.
Cristhian Mosquera is recalled to start in the Arsenal defence alongside Riccardo Calafiori while Myles Lewis-Skelly comes in at left-back.
Christian Norgaard gets a rare start in midfield with Martin Zubimendi rested. Kai Havertz makes his first start since the opening weekend of the season and it appears he’ll line-up in a midfield role along with Eberechi Eze.
Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli are recalled to start on the wings for Arsenal while Viktor Gyokeres leads the line up front. Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus are on the bench while Declan Rice and Mikel Merino are suspended.
These are the line-ups:
Arsenal
Arrizabalaga, White, Mosquera, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly, Norgaard, Eze, Havertz, Madueke, Martinelli, Gyokeres
Subs: Setford, Porter, Gabriel, Salmon, Hincapie, Zubimendi, Ibrahim, Odegaard, Bailey-Joseph, Saka, Trossard, Jesus.
