Arsenal make contact to sign PSG star Bradley Barcola

By on January 9, 2026

Arsenal have reportedly made contact to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, as per TEAMtalk.

Although the Gunners decided to reinforce the wide forward position by signing Noni Madueke last summer, it was reported that they also wanted a new left-winger.

Eventually, the North London club signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. He has mainly featured as a creative midfielder this season and when he was used on the flanks, he failed to perform at his best.

As a result, Mikel Arteta has been persisting with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli as left-wing options. The Belgian has even displayed eye-catching performances this season but he has entered his 30s and his current contract will expire at the end of next season.

Martinelli, on the other hand, is a hard-working player but hasn’t been able to showcase his best in the Premier League in recent seasons. As a result, it appears the North London club have started exploring options to sign a new left sided forward this year.

TEAMtalk claim that Arsenal are interested in Barcola and have already held talks with Les Parisiens to learn about the details of signing him after being offered the chance to secure his service through intermediaries.

However, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City are the other Premier League clubs interested in the Frenchman, while Bayern Munich are keen on him.

Barcola to Arsenal

Barcola is open to leaving PSG to play regularly, as he hasn’t always started in Luis Enrique’s starting line-up due to fierce competition for the first team places. However, the French giants have no intention of letting him leave with his existing deal set to run until 2028.

Therefore, Arsenal will have to launch a lucrative formal proposal to persuade Les Parisiens to cash-in on Barcola, valued at around £61m by Transfermarkt.

Barcola is a left-winger by trait but is also comfortable on the opposite side. He enjoyed a productive campaign last term and has also shown glimpses of his qualities this season.

The 23-year-old is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become a world-class forward in the future. So, he would be a great coup for Arsenal should they eventually manage to purchase him this year.
