Yan Diomande

Arsenal have reportedly expressed their interest in signing RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande, as per Caught Offside.

The 19-year-old experienced his first test of European football after joining Spanish side Leganés at the beginning of this year, netting two goals and registering a solitary assist in six La Liga starts last term.

Having been impressed by his performances, the German side decided to purchase him last summer, and he has enjoyed a stellar first half of this season, scoring seven goals and notching up three assists in 11 starts across all competitions. He even scored a hat-trick against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga last weekend.

He has been guiding his side to push for a finish in the Champions League spot. Moreover, following his recent eye-catching displays, he has secured his place in the Ivory Coast national team. So, the youngster has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years.

Now, Caught Offside claim that Diomande has already started attracting a lot of attention ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur all showing interest in him.

The Gunners have sent scouts to watch him in action closely in recent matches before making a potential swoop next year.

The report claim that apart from the Premier League clubs, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed their interest in purchasing him.

Diomande to Arsenal

Having recently joined Leipzig, the forward still has four and a half years left in his current contract and has no release clause. The German side have no intention of parting ways with him just yet and are planning to hand him a fresh term with a salary hike.

However, Leipzig might be ready to let him leave should his potential suitors, such as Arsenal, launch a formal proposal worth up to £87m.

Diomande is a right-footed winger and is efficient on either flank. He has shown glimpses of his qualities in the Bundesliga in recent years and possesses the potential to become a world-class forward in the future.

So, he would be a great coup for Arsenal should they eventually manage to secure his service in January or next summer.
