Arsenal given new opportunity to land Serhou Guirassy
Arsenal may get a chance to bring in Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, according to a report from TeamTalk.
The London side want to add more strength to their attack, and the striker has now been linked with a possible switch.
Interest grows in Guirassy
The report notes that Guirassy could look for a way out of Dortmund. He also has a special clause in his deal, and this clause may allow him to explore a move.
This point has drawn the attention of several sides who hope to add a proven forward in the next window, with Arsenal among those linked.
Guirassy joined Dortmund in the summer of 2024 for a fee near £15.4 million.
He settled fast and has built a strong name for himself in Europe. His impact last season was huge, as he ended the 2024/25 Champions League as the top scorer with 13 goals.
His form helped Dortmund reach key stages of the competition and raised his value across Europe.
The striker has also carried this good run into the current season. He has seven goals and four assists from 15 matches in all contests for Dortmund.
This output shows his strong eye for goal and his ability to link play with others. He remains one of the most reliable forwards in the German league.
Arsenal could face strong competition
Arsenal are not alone in the chase for the Guinea international. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are also said to be watching the situation, as per TeamTalk.
These clubs all want more firepower, so the race for Guirassy may become tense. Any side that makes a move will know that his clause puts them in a fair position.
Arsenal now have Viktor Gyökeres as their main striker. He remains the first choice, but Mikel Arteta wants more depth in the team.
A player like Guirassy would raise the level in the forward line. He offers power, speed and a calm finish in the box.
His arrival would give Arteta more options when planning matches. It would also give the team strong cover in case of injuries or loss of form.
Arsenal want to push for major trophies, and to do this, they need a group of players who can step in at any moment.
Guirassy fits this plan, as he has shown he can score in big games. If the chance comes, Arsenal may decide to act fast to bring him in.
