Arsenal linked with Galatasaray defender Wilfred Singo
Arsenal are reportedly showing interest in Galatasaray’s Wilfred Singo, according to Turkish newspaper Sabah.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad further as the January transfer window approaches.
The club has enjoyed a strong start to the league and is aiming to add depth in key positions.
Singo is a versatile 24-year-old defender who can play as a right back or in the centre of defence.
With Ben White struggling with injuries in recent months, Singo could provide a reliable option to share the workload.
His arrival would also help reduce the pressure on Jurrien Timber, who has been relied upon heavily this season.
Arsenal’s scouting team is understood to have monitored Singo’s performances closely.
Singo interest
The Ivorian joined Galatasaray in the summer transfer window from Monaco for a reported £31 million.
Since arriving, he has made nine appearances in all competitions, establishing himself quickly in the Turkish side’s defence.
Arsenal are not the only club interested in Singo. Liverpool and Manchester United are also tracking the defender, as per the report.
Scouts from all three English clubs watched him in action against Ajax last week in the Champions League. Galatasaray won the match 3-0, with Singo playing the full 90 minutes.
His performance impressed scouts from each club, and interest is expected to intensify in the January window.
Clubs are likely to approach Galatasaray directly as they aim to secure the defender’s signature.
Singo’s contract with Galatasaray runs until 2030 and includes a release clause set at £53 million, as per the report.
His combination of youth, versatility, and experience in European competition has made him an attractive target for Arsenal and other top Premier League sides.
The January transfer window could see a battle among the English clubs to land the Ivorian defender.
If Arsenal succeed, they would add an important option to their backline, helping them maintain their strong league form while covering for injury concerns.
Singo’s arrival could provide both immediate impact and long-term stability, offering tactical flexibility and additional depth across defensive positions for the Gunners.
