Arsenal have reportedly received a major boost in their pursuit of Brazilian winger Rodrygo Goes, who is said to be considering leaving Real Madrid.

According to a report from TBR Football, the 24-year-old is unhappy with his limited game time at the Santiago Bernabéu this season and is open to a move away.

Sources suggest that a switch to the Premier League could appeal to the winger as he looks for more consistent minutes on the pitch.

Arsenal monitoring situation closely

The Gunners have held long-term admiration for Rodrygo and believe he would add real quality to their attacking options.

The north London club view him as an ideal player to provide depth and competition in the wide areas, as Mikel Arteta looks to continue his aim of building a squad capable of competing for all major honours.

Rodrygo’s frustration with his current situation has been growing, as he has started only two matches in all competitions so far.

New Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has preferred young talents such as Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono in recent weeks, which has left the Brazilian feeling increasingly sidelined.

Real Madrid open to offers

Although Alonso values Rodrygo’s ability, the report claims he does not plan to change the winger’s role in the team.

With Madrid also expecting young midfielder Nico Paz to step into the first team in 2026, Rodrygo’s chances of regular football may continue to decrease.

As per TBR Football, sources close to the player revealed that he is beginning to accept that his long-term future could lie away from Madrid.

Arsenal could now look to take advantage of this situation by launching an approach in the coming months.

However, they are not the only English side monitoring developments. The report says Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the Brazilian, setting up a potential transfer battle between the two north London rivals.

Rodrygo, who is currently valued at around £70 million by Transfermarkt, has made 11 appearances for Madrid this season, contributing two assists.

Despite his limited minutes, he remains highly regarded for his pace, creativity, and technical skill – qualities that would make him a valuable addition to any Premier League side.
